Director of Logistics and Supply Chain

FUNCTION OF THE JOB

In support of Bealls strategic transformation of our Supply Chain, this Director will lead the move towards a real-time digital supply chain by providing solutions that automate processes, enhance visibility, and improve reporting and communications. This Director is accountable for delivering innovative, dependable, and efficient technical solutions while coordinating with key business stakeholders and other technology teams to ensure adoption and value delivery. This role requires an experienced technology leader with a background in delivering innovative solutions, partnering with business leadership, and developing a high-performing team.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES (Essential Functions):

• Assume responsibility for several product areas across the supply chain logistics technology suite including Distribution, Transportation and Fulfillment and related data and reporting.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, define capability gaps, and deliver technology solutions to empower transformation.
• Translates business domain understanding and context into technical strategy for managers, technical architects, and development teams to deliver against
• Directs efforts to solve complex problems and takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions tempered with industry best practices.
• Develop and grow your team as they gain expertise on solutions and technologies.
• Resolve risks and issues that span across systems and processes, with responsibility to provide visibility and appropriate updates to leadership teams.
• Perform regular reviews for project/program status, metrics, financial reporting, stakeholder KPIs to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Foster a strong work environment that rewards individual and team efforts; encourages creativity while maintaining a high caliber of productivity and quality.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics (Distribution & Transportation), Merchandising, e-Commerce, Finance, and other Technology teams to deliver and maintain solutions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and report any issues to appropriate senior leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in Business, Business Management, Computer Science, or related field or five to ten years of equivalent work-related experience with a minimum education requirement of HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience gained in a Technology Management role, building, leading, and mentoring distributed teams including contract resources, able to guide them and drive best practices.
• Experience working with vaguely defined objectives to create transformative solution roadmaps.
• Previous leadership experience with large projects in Supply Chain technology suite. Multi-Cloud data integration is a core enablement for these solutions.
• Significant understanding of and experience in best practices around systems integration, security, performance, and data management.
• Excellent communicator for building relationships, managing stakeholders, and working with technology teams.
• Excellent listening, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences .
• Effective time management skills: ability to prioritize, delegate and meet deadlines.
• Ability to effectively articulate and present complex concepts, ideas and strategies to senior leadership and end-users.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, counsel, and train team members.
• Proficiency in SQL to correlate, interpret, analyze, and document data driven conclusions.
• Experience with data analysis or reporting tools i.e. Power BI, SnowFlake a plus.
• Prefer five to ten years' experience in logistics operations with an emphasis on the necessary systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) both packages and in-house systems; on-premise and cloud-based systems.
• Prefer foundational knowledge of WMS and TMS to include architecture, master data, integration points, milestones, modalities and administration of these systems.
• Must be able to work well in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
• Experience with BluJay TMS, PINC YMS, HighJump WMS, FourKites, and Descartes PCSTrac a plus.
