Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping

Aventura at Creekside is actively seeking a Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Carbondale, PA.

Summary:

The Director of Maintenance and housekeeping is responsible for providing supervision of all maintenance and housekeeping personnel. He/she will direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments and ensure the cleanliness of the facility, resident rooms, and public space areas also maintain the facility, equipment, and grounds to ensure a successful, safe viable maintenance/housekeeping program. Additionally, responsible for maintaining proper staffing levels and scheduling and ensures staff is trained in all aspects of housekeeping/laundry and provides proper follow-up to ensure high standards are keep by all housekeeping and maintenance personnel.

This is a salaried position whose regular hours are M-F 8a-4:30p.

Responsibilities:

• The Maintenance Director's priority is the safety and comfort of our patients and residents by providing them with well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing surroundings

• Compliance with federal, state, local, life safety, OSHA, and EPA laws and regulations regarding maintenance of the nursing center's building and grounds is essential

• In this highly visible role, you will report directly to the Nursing Home Admi nistrator

• Repairs electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems

• Provides overall supervision of the maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry departments, including orientation for new staff

• Maintains fire alarm and emergency generator systems to minimize the potential for fire and accidents

• Maintains required records and reports; performs budget planning

• Remains on-call for emergencies seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day

• Operates on the TELS platform for all Life Safety, regulatory, and daily tasks
