The role you'll contribute:

The Director of Managed Care is the primary contact in managed care opportunities, negotiating contracts, problem solving and providing resolutions related to healthcare payers. Identifies opportunities for facility to assist in meeting the healthcare needs of the industry, develops a plan, implements plan and evaluates effectiveness on a regular basis.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Maintains positive relationships with all entities and managed care organizations and local employers.

• Facilitates the understanding of managed care contracts and terms within the hospital departments, home care, EMS, physician practices and any other related legal entity.

• Continually re-evaluating managed care contracts, analyzing for market share, strategic opportunities, profitability, and competitiveness.

• Negotiate contract language terms and rates timely and when appropriate.

• Monitoring the financial, operational, and strategic impact of each managed care relationship to identify areas for improvement.

• Working with each billing department on managed care claim issues.

• Working with and assisting the CFO with operational or special projects, which include the annual budget templates and market summary overviews.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED

• Computer skills, Microsoft Office, telephone

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• Excel, PowerPoint, state statue

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration in healthcare related field strongly preferred.

• A minimum of five years of health care leadership experience required in managed care with an emphasis on contracting, contract administration and strategic planning for hospital, ancillary and physician services
