FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

As Director of Master Control Operations, you will oversee all the FOX O&O stations' master control operations and manage resources to ensure personnel coverage of the Master Control functions at all stations as necessary. Work directly with our IT team to develop our Dataminer monitoring and orchestration platform, providing input on the critical items that need to alert our local teams. Monitor stations' Statmon/Dataminer dashboards and report problems or issues to the station staff and intervene during an emergency. Review, distribute and manage station discrepancy reports, monitor automated playlist ingest from Traffic, and distribution of as-run logs to Finance. Distribute vital FOX network communications and coordinate resolution of technical issues with network feeds. Manage syndicated program distribution, commercial content ingest, and any additional tasks as required. Support station VPs of Engineering with other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Requirements:

The ability to work under tight timelines and high stress while maintaining an exceptional on-air product. Basic technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to properly communicate issues to the Maintenance Engineers and supervisors. Computer hardware, software, and networking experience and the ability to quickly learn new applications and workflows. Must work well with others in and out of the Engineering department and be able to communicate clearly in writing as well as in person.

Two years of college or technical school and two years of related experience preferred.
