The Director of Program Intake, Management, and Delivery is responsible for successfully driving strategic initiatives for Optum Bank that support and enable Optum Financial and overall Optum's growth. This role will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and will be responsible to develop and execute on scalable and repeatable processes for effective/efficient business management while maintaining compliancy, adhering to regulatory standards and minimizing risk for the overall organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects across various function areas leveraging Optum Bank's delivery framework lead business, technology, and shared services segments for Optum Financial through end-to-end delivery
  • Drive the creation of project level content for biweekly business portfolio reviews and monthly management meetings - thinking through different audiences and communication needs
  • Anticipate, manage preparation for, and when appropriate, facilitate meetings and events
  • Prepare and coordinate resources and materials for project meetings
  • Manage and drive the team to get to day-to-day decisions in support of project delivery priorities and initiatives including strategic projects, regulatory initiatives, and growth-related implementations
  • Work closely with entire leadership team to ensure pulse on critical priorities, focus areas and business issues / risks
  • Develop integrated cross functional project plans in support of assigned projects
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain collaborative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders with a focus on resolving as many questions and issues as possible
  • Demonstrates leadership presence and interacts with leadership to successfully communicate messaging, priorities and the plan or approach to delivery
  • Organized and resourceful in problem solving with proven organization and execution skills
  • Resilient and persistent in finding answers as needed, often with a short turnaround time

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of execution management and operations experience
  • 5+ years of management experience directly leading projects, including senior leadership engagement and project execution
  • 5+ years project management experience in banking, fintech, or finance experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to develop leadership presentations and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven solid operational focus with demonstrated project and operational management, change management, and execution skills
  • Proven good problem solving, planning and decision-making skills; accurately scopes out projects, sets objectives and goals
  • Proven self-motivated and able to help drive results with disciplined follow-though
  • Proven solid strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to align people related strategies and recommendations with business objectives
  • Proven ability to effectively deal with ambiguity - can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with business leaders
