In this role, you will have full scope and responsibility for Sales Operations in Latin America and Caribbean in the Select Service, Full Service and Inclusive Collection managed portfolio. You will partner with property sales to facilitate the integration of Inclusive Collection into Hyatt commercial tech stack. You will also provide strategic leadership with the sales and marketing budget and business plans, forecasts, and goal-setting targets. You will be critical in keeping the hotel teams motivated and leading all communication and development in creating topline business strategies to drive results. You will be responsible for support with hiring and aspects of performance accountability and management. You must have the ability to think bold and establish protocols and guidelines to drive change and inspiration. This role requires strong communication, critical-thinking skills, and collaboration across teams, regions and functions within a highly matrixed organization.

A successful Director of Sales Operations, LAC will:
  • Ensure all property teams are appropriately leveraging sales tools, technology and resources available to them including Envision, Cvent, Social Tables, Group Billing platforms, Field Marketing reporting, Thoughtspot, Glasswing, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Build and maintain training and development plans for DOSM, ADOS and High potential Manager level positions for all business units (Select Service, Full Service and All Inclusive) considering specialized needs in alignment with the Americas Training guidance led by the Director of Commercial Learning and Development.
  • Responsible for the commercial onboarding planning for any new DOSM or ADOS talent.
  • Lead onboarding and transition for any LAC property for commercial systems setup and integration across both Hyatt and Hyatt Inclusive Collection tech stacks in partnership with the corporate O&T team.
  • Conduct MOR's and audits to ensure accurate financial reporting, account deployment and tactical sales planning.
  • Act as conduit between Corporate and hotels to execute corporate revenue generation initiatives and handle sales issues.
  • Perform regular property visits and collaborate with RVPs of Sales, RDRM's of Revenue and Directors of Sales and Marketing to review account deployment and tactical sales planning.
    • Scope of review from property-based activities include set and review all booking guidelines for hotels, set crossover goals for each hotel 2x a year, oversee and approve all SIP for hotel, recommend sales team deployment aligned to strategic priorities, provide strategic guidance for budget, business plans and goal setting/SIP, and hold monthly calls with DOSM's to share best practices.
  • Partner with RVPs of Sales/Commercial to build talent mapping succession plan for region for the sales function.
  • Guide integration efforts from a system and implementation perspective as the Inclusive Collection Resorts transition to the Hyatt Technology Stack for Sales & Marketing. Once integration is complete, this role will ensure usage and system compliance targets are achieved in the region.

Qualifications:
A successful Director of Sales Operations, LAC will have:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Master's degree in Hotel Management or Business, a plus
  • Minimum 7 years hotel sales experience, ideally in at least one Latin America or Caribbean market
  • Minimum 3 years of director of sales or similar team leadership experience demonstrating success in developing and executing sales strategy and/or customer contact
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the pre-opening experience and processes to ramp
  • Capacity to handle owner discussions important
  • Experience within a Hyatt Hotel is preferred
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are highly desirable
