Director of Training and Development - Registered Nurse (RN)

Summary

MaineHealth is looking for an experienced and passionate Director of Training and Development to oversee the training and development and onboarding team. The Director will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing orientation, education, professional development and training activities across Maine Behavioral Healthcare.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of management experience and five years of training experience, including planning, coordination, design, implementation, and evaluation of programs. In addition to experience developing and managing a departmental budget. Mental Health experience is preferred.

Position Summary

• The Director of Training and Development will develop, coordinate, and implement orientation, education, professional development, and training activities across Maine Behavioral Healthcare. This position will oversee the training and development and onboarding team.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. Master degree preferred.
• License/Certifications: Certification as CPR Instructor and Safety Care Instructor certification preferred; required within the first 12 months of hire.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of training experience, including planning, coordination, design, implementation, and evaluation of programs. Minimum of 3 years of management experience. Experience developing and managing a departmental budget. Mental Health experience preferred.
• Excellent public speaking and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and online learning management system.
• Mastery of adult learning principles.
