Southern Glazer's offers a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $110,000 - $146,000/yr. plus bonus. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

The Operations Director I is responsible for providing overall leadership for all aspects of an assigned facility to include warehousing, transportation, finance and administration.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of various departments in the organization
  • Review financial statements and data and utilize data to improve profitability
  • Prepare and control operational budgets
  • Control total inventory management by ensuring the compliance of receiving and inventory control procedures; Develop/recommend alterations to procedures and best practices as warranted
  • Plan effective strategies for the financial wellbeing of the company
  • Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals
  • Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output
  • Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures
  • Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in production, warehousing, pricing and distribution of goods
  • Monitor warehouse performance and implement improvements
  • Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity
  • Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery
  • Provide technical support where necessary
  • Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity
  • Implement and manage operational plans
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree and 7 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator s license and the ability to obtain and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with state laws
  • Experience in wholesale or operational management or other related industries
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP system or similar system


Physical Demands

  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs
