The role you'll contribute:

The PE Corporate Director of Revenue Cycle (CDRC), under the direction of the PE Executive Director of Revenue Cycle, provides oversight and consultation services for the revenue cycle functions for all physician practices within the AHS PE.

The CDRC assesses, plans, implements, re-evaluates and provides recommendations for physician practice revenue cycle process improvement initiatives. The CDRC role includes roll out and implementation support of corporate initiatives specific to improving revenue cycle performance within AHS PE practices, including overall assessment of performance and application of available technology.

The CDRC is jointly responsible with the Directors of Revenue Cycle to provide the knowledge and tools to enable the operating teams within each practice to achieve the PE Revenue Cycle Ambition (Ambition). The Ambition is defined as the creation of clean billing claims and is comprised of performing the following functions for every patient, 100% of the time:

• Complete demographic data entry accurately and comprehensively.

• Verify insurance eligibility.

• Collect patient responsibility at the time of service.

• Facilitate precise and comprehensive charge entry, supported by correct clinical diagnoses.

The CDRC will work with the Directors of Revenue Cycle on the following:

• Assist the central business office by monitoring athenahealth work ques to ensure that resolution of items in the work que is provided by the appropriate staff within the practice.

• Constantly monitor performance of revenue cycle metrics and ensure operational management is aware and acting upon identified deficiencies.

The value that you bring to the team:

• Provides oversight, training, and leadership for revenue cycle management at all AHS facilities:

• Strong knowledge of athena Collector

• Registration, insurance eligibility, charge services and billing

• Collection practices for both Governmental and Managed Care payers

• Assists with central billing office support services

• Denial avoidance and management

• Cash posting and patient refunds

• Customer Service

• Provides consultation services and evaluation of revenue cycle functions including recommendations for process performance improvement initiatives.

• Collaborates with practices' administrative leadership and Directors of Revenue Cycle in formulating goals and objectives that are consistent with the strategic objectives of AHS PE.

• Works in collaboration with various departments on strategies designed to reduce revenue cycle defects for AHS practices.

• Provides oversight for implementation and utilization of athena Collector and other revenue cycle software utilized by AHS.

• Assists in ongoing development and monitoring of AHS PE Key Performance Indicators, Dashboards, Scorecards and best practices.

• Develops, communicates, and enforces corporate policies and procedures consistent with organization and governmental standards of compliance.

• Develops and maintains liaisons with local, state and federal resources along with professional organizations.

• Assists the PE Executive Director of Revenue Cycle to conduct annual or bi-annual revenue cycle conferences geared to provide leadership and staff with the tools necessary to meet the challenges faced in today's healthcare environment.

• Participates on and contributes to various corporate committees and assigned task forces.

• Responsible for at least monthly, formal meetings with Directors of Revenue Cycle to convey need to know information, latest trends in management of these respective areas, corporate policy additions/changes, performance feedback, etc.

• Effectively communicates and negotiates with multiple internal and external suppliers and consumers to ensure continuity of care services.

• Promotes the mission of Adventist Health System in all encounters.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

• 10 years of experience in healthcare receivables, patient access management, or related field

• Master's Degree in Business Finance or Healthcare Management

Preferred Qualifications :

• 5 Years management experience

• Strong knowledge of all aspects of the physician practice revenue cycle.

• Minimum mid-level competency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Power Point

• Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with all levels

• Drive processes to completion
