COMPANY OVERVIEW The New York Red Bulls are one of 29 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.

JOB PURPOSE

The Director, Premium Sales & Service will be tasked with expanding the club's current premium and hospitality business through memberships, groups and single-event products, along with incorporating additional revenue-generating programs into the product portfolio. Providing service and support to current members and customer accounts to drive strong renewal rates. Achieving individual and department sales and service performance goals. Leadership responsibilities will include pipeline management, training/coaching, sales presentations, pricing strategy, product launches, and marketing/lead generation.

  • EVALUATING


    Evaluate the current competitive landscape and enormous opportunity to best maximize the growth of soccer and the important role this organization (and its new premium and hospitality assets) will contribute during this key inflection point.


  • PACKAGING


    Tell the unique story of our club and venue. Create innovative hospitality offerings and pitches to drive revenue growth and maximize our ability to provide new diversified premium product offerings.


  • SELLING


    Lead the sales process from pipeline management, pricing strategy, presentation, product launches and marketing/lead generation to optimize premium and hospitality inventory.


  • MANAGEMENT AND COACHING


    Develop a high performing staff of sales and account management professionals to form a cohesive and collaborative team.


  • RELATIONSHIPS


    Nurture relationships with key stakeholders within the organization and throughout the World of Red Bull to successfully connect the dots between key initiatives and commercial growth. Optimize relationships with current and prospective clients to sustain long-standing holistic partnerships. Network with league executives and other sports & entertainment properties to be able to constantly seek improvement and capitalize on new opportunities.

EXPERIENCE


Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • Minimum seven (7) years of relevant work, industry, and premium sales development experience.
  • Success in leveraging new premium and hospitality spaces in a sports and entertainment venue. Experience with Ticketing Systems (Archtics & TM) as well as CRM (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.)
  • High integrity and values with an ability to give candid feedback with good intentions to help get the best out of colleagues
  • Strong work ethic with a track record of delivering results in high-pressure situations
  • Must have a collaborative, team-oriented management style that engages leadership
  • Proven experience in building successful commercial relations with corporate partners and high net-worth individuals and to secure new premium and hospitality business.
  • Strong and continuous awareness of market and industry trends
  • Experience with Ticketing Systems (Archtics & TM) as well as CRM (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Ability to perform and provide clear decision-making leadership while juggling multiple responsibilities
  • Strong presentation skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
