Director, Property Tax Managed Services

What You'll Do

Avalara is looking for a dynamic leader for our expanding Professional Services team. You will lead our Managed Services offerings' scoping, delivery, and enhancement.

You will:

• Oversee the business, including collaboration with sales/marketing teams
• Achieve specific revenue and margin Indicators
• Ensure excellent customer satisfaction
• Recruit and develop new talent
• Boost employee engagement
• Develop and provide comprehensive property tax managed services solutions
• Shape the strategy, structure, and operations of the Professional Services organization
• Implement and refine best practices, ensuring consistency and scalability
• Establish standard operating procedures to ensure budget-compliant deliverables
• Balance customer satisfaction with project profitability
• Find and address potential issues and areas of concern.
• Encourage skill development, motivating team members
• Support revenue growth through existing customer engagement and new customer acquisition
• Manage time and priorities across multiple projects
• Mentor US/India team members on ETL best practices, Alteryx, and SQL development

What You'll Need to be Successful

You perform well in a high growth environment, able to demonstrate your leadership experience, while ensuring customer success.

• You enjoy using your 5+ years of progressive managerial experience in Professional Services or customer delivery
• You have 5+ years of Property Tax industry experience (required)
• You have a Bachelor's degree
• You're experienced in balancing time between project teams and customers
• Your expertise in delivering strategic value to customers helps increase revenue
• Background in building and scaling teams
• You use your excellent interpersonal and communication skills to motivate
• You articulate the value proposition with data and experience
• You may have Accounting licensure, like CPA

You will report to the GM of Property Tax and will work remotely (#LI-remote).
