Description

Administers the Office of Student Affairs and Admissions for a college.
  1. Administers office functions such as student affairs, records, admissions, scholarships, advising, and/or federally funded programs..
  2. Oversees the college's enrollment services, including data entry, registration, class schedules and class scheduling; prepares and submits enrollment and professional licensure reports required by internal and external agencies.
  3. Oversees the evaluation of transfer credit, grade change forms and applications for graduation; approves course work which meets standards for admissions.
  4. Develops student information/recruitment literature; represents the college at student recruitment and retention activities related to student outreach, academics, and/or commencement.
  5. Oversees activities for student recruitment, retention services and alumni.
  6. Interviews admissions applicants; serves on a variety of committees which deal with student life, including but limited to: curriculum, scheduling, retention and admissions.
  7. Oversees the college's student orientation and commencement committees.
  8. Represents the college on a variety of internal and external committees and task forces; advises the dean on student affairs, admissions, external funding and academic matters; advises and/or counsels students regarding class schedule, career choice, personal and/or financial aid matters.
  9. Develops budgets and oversees expenditures for the department; identifies and evaluates computer software and other computer needs.
  10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelors and 3 years experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
