Reporting to the Senior Director of Distribution Analytics, you will oversee the trade sales demand plan process and forecast accuracy for Red Bull North America. You will collaborate with Sales, Operations and Finance to define and manage our forecasting process. Accurate demand plans are necessary to proper SKU level production planning by outlet type for the US. Additionally, the Director, Trade Sales Planning will lead our efforts in re-designing CPM, in partnership with our global HQ, to improve field planning efficiency and accuracy.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • PROCESS


    Provide forecast support to the sales teams through Insights, tools, and technical advancements to CPM

    Work with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers - by SKU and outlet type for both all products

    Build bottom up forecast from the sales teams and well as independent sales forecast based on plans and statistical models

    Develop regular forecasting reviews

    Advise leadership with demand planning recommendations - both short-term and long-term

    Prepare and manage monthly S&OP consensus forecasting volume calls

    Work with Operations peers on daily basis to track days of supply and reduce potential inventory issues

    Review/redesign process and systems to ensure SKU level accuracy Is maximized by automating or simplifying field input, so teams can focus on exceptions/changes of SKU mix

    Partner with Training team to deploy process and tools training

    Support training facilitation


  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT


    Work with the Finance and IT organizations, both at RBNA and Global HQ, to lead the projects that: Require functional and technical modifications to the tool, have an impact to the P&L and support all reporting, goals and analytics dashboards

    Manage status reports, resources, and budgets of the entire sales planning project portfolio

    Provide status updates of the entire project portfolio to leadership and global teams

    Accountable for project definition, resource requirement, risk mitigation and realistic timelines

    Deliver projects on time and within budgets

    Responsible for business requirement identification and documentation according to Red Bull's methodologies

    Work with IT, Finance, and Business intelligence to define and deliver reports to track progress for measuring the health of the process

    Diligently maintain the project management tool to reflect project status

    Must learn our internal processes inside and out so that issues can be resolved, and questions can be answered


  • TOOLS


    Translate our requirements into relevant projects for IT development

    Work together with Red Bull IT and HQ to develop, Implement, and enhance tools to facilitate the forecasting/planning process


  • LEADERSHIP


    Lead a team of 2 analysts

    Ensure career development for the entire group through the focus of direct feedback




EXPERIENCE


Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • 8+ years of experience working for CPG companies managing forecasting for accounts. Experience forecasting for accounts (beverage businesses advantageous)
  • Distributor and Supplier experience
  • Experience with Sales & Operations consensus calls: objectives, outcomes, and follow-ups.
  • Business acumen in trade promotional planning, sales forecasting concepts baseline, lift, cannibalization, new product Introductions, limited time offers, promotional pre-dip and post-dip, business seasonality, organic growth.
  • Experience with Trade Promotion Management Systems and how they are Integrated with volume planning
  • Experience with statistical analysis model and advance forecasting techniques using tableau, R programming language.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Must be fluent in English, additional language skills an advantage
  • Travel 10-20%
