2324-44 (Dual-Merged recruitment) Oral Examination is tentatively scheduled for one day between July 19 - July 24, 2024 (by invitation only) Final hiring interview is tentatively scheduled for July 30, 2024. An examination will be administered to establish an eligibility list for the position of Director, Transportation in order to fill a future vacancy. This position is full-time, 260 paid days per year. Eligibility list will be valid for six (6) months. A letter of introduction/cover letter and resume must be submitted with completed application online by 4:30 PM on the closing date. Incomplete applications and faxed materials will not be considered. APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Completed online applications must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the closing date. Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application or supplemental questions; however, applicants may submit resumes along with the completed online application. A resume will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application. Make sure your application thoroughly details your education and work experience. The examination process may include one or more of the following: written exam, performance, and/or technical oral examination. Merit Exam: Oral Examination is tentatively scheduled for one day between July 19 - July 24, 2024 (by invitation only) Examinations will be given by appointment only. Following the conclusion of the examination process, the candidates will be ranked and notified of their scores. All examinations will take place at La Mesa-Spring Valley School District's Education Service Center, 4750 Date Avenue, La Mesa, CA 91942 (Phone: 619-668-5700) unless notified otherwise. Exam starts promptly at the scheduled time. Latecomers will not be admitted. Candidates will be required to present valid photo identification prior to sign-in

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and five years of increasingly responsible experience in the administration of a transportation program including three years of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Class C Driver's License and evidence of insurability. Successful passage of the District's job-related proficiency test. California School Bus Driver's Certificate (or must be completed within 6 months of hire date). Valid California Class B Driver's License with P/S endorsements (or must be completed within 6 months of hire date) and evidence of insurability. Medical Examiner's Certificate.
