The Director of our UX Packaging Design Lab willlead the UX Design Lab in North America, to create new packaging, bringing anelevated innovation experience through design: desirability and sensoriality;new usage experiences and functionalities; sustainability and invokingemotions. This role is based our of Clark, New Jersey Operations Hub.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead Research & Innovation (R&I) projects: upstream R&I driven innovations, together with the Advanced Engineering team and R&I Development Labs
  • Lead Packaging projects: upstream Packaging Labs driven innovations, together with the support of all of the Packaging Labs (Advanced Engineering, Technical Design Center, Packaging Science Center, etc.)
  • Lead Brand projects: brand driven innovations, focusing to incorporate both an elevated innovation experience and sustainability through design
  • Team Management: Management of one Senior Designer
  • Developing and animating to connection with Operational teams (Packaging, Development, Technical Design Center, etc.), Research & Innovation teams, and Brands.
  • Leading local UX Design projects as part of the global portfolio
  • Collaboration with external resources / partners including design agencies or freelancers
  • Identifying and managing fast prototyping companies / partners to create aesthetic and functional mock-ups


What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial/Product Design or a related technical discipline is required. Master's is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Product Design, preferably related to beauty or consumer products is required
  • In-depth knowledge of the following is preferred:
    • Understanding consumer needs; using insights and user journeys.
    • User trends on make up, skincare, haircare & color;
    • Creative concepts to full innovation & brands;
    • Understanding of basic packaging techniques and engineering constraints
    • 3D modeling with Rhinoceros or Solidworks
    • Rendering with KeyShot or equivalent.
