Job Summary
The Manager of Distribution is responsible for providing leadership, strategic planning, distribution expertise, coaching/developing skills, and the management of strategic relationships to ensure delivery of best-in-class service, cost, and quality. The Manager of Distribution will monitor and coordinate with our third-party suppliers daily to ensure the expectations of Spectrum Brands and our customers are being met. The Manager of Distribution will display leadership, cooperation, and a continuous commitment to operational and financial improvements. This role is also the relationship holder for several factory service providers across the product portfolio. Multi-site responsibility, owning all aspects of distribution operations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and implement effective 3PL distribution and transportation contracts.
  • Enable a multimodal distribution network designed to fulfill all customer and consumer demands.
  • Develop and approve budgeting while providing oversight control of distribution costs.
  • Create and implement long-term strategic plans for the distribution function to ensure continued customer service program development and logistics requirements for future needs in domestic and international markets.
  • Provide leadership development and resource support for the team.
  • Maintain and produce monthly KPI reports for cost, quality, service, and safety.
  • Owns the relationship and execution oversight of all return/refurbish programs.
  • Responsible for all distribution-related SOX compliance oversight and reporting.
  • Ensure internal and external inventory accuracy compliance measures are achieved.
  • Leads the design and implementation of distribution network models that support the strategic direction of the business and future growth.

Education and Experience Profile
  • B.S./B.A. Degree; MBA preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of Operations/Finance/Supply Chain/Distribution experience with emphasis in multi-site distribution.
  • Industry certification preferred.
  • Some understanding of Network Design is preferred.
  • Experience in DTC, ecomm parcel fulfillment.

  • WMS and TMS experience.

  • Effective time management skills.
  • Strong understanding of the systems and technology in the distribution space.

Work Environment
Work conditions normal for an office environment, up to 25% travel.
