The Distribution Operator II is an in-process subject matter expert with a demonstrated higher-order skillset to support operations within one or more Distribution areas (i.e., Credits, PPS, Mailroom, Warehouse, etc.). Use specialized knowledge to provide analytical, troubleshooting, and issue resolution while maintaining a role within their specific operational area. Responsible for ensuring efficient processing pursuant to area deliverables on a daily basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs one or more of these functions on a regular basis:

  • Ensures customer order is picked, prepared, and packaged for shipment with records maintenance.
  • Transport, receive, and stock all raw materials and finished products.
  • Performs various troubleshooting responsibilities for pick, pack, and high-speed order processing operations.
  • Uses both manual and powered industrial equipment to move palletized finished goods (warehouse only).
  • Processes and inspects packages returned from customers for credit and restocking.
  • Ships international orders and traces domestic and international orders.
  • Spends time performing tasks and projects as assigned by area management
  • Responsible for tasks or functions and their outcomes, as an area owner of one or more key roles.
  • Acts as subject matter expert in one or more specific areas within Distribution.
  • Coordinate communication with key stakeholders to ensure changes and modifications are documented and understood.
  • Partners with maintenance and engineering to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • A High School diploma/Secondary education or equivalent is required.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in product distribution and/or manufacturing.
  • Some mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, conveyor control, PLC, and equipment read-out experience are helpful.
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with Distribution and Enterprise systems, such as DCS, SI System Control Panel, SAP, or other internal Distribution shop floor systems.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical demands of the position include stooping, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 23 lbs.), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering, and crawling.
