Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team as Division Director of Security Services for our Pacific Northwest Division. This role is responsible for the overall security, safety, valet, and parking operations across the division, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.

As Division Director of Security Services, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Planning and Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of security, safety, valet, and parking services, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Risk Management: Conduct ongoing risk assessments, identify security vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks and ensure a safe environment.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of security professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the security services budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient resource allocation.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security and safety.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, and community partners to foster a collaborative and proactive security approach.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, law and justice, security management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related work experience, including 5 years in a management/leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience in healthcare security/safety in a large or multi-location healthcare facility.
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred. Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) is required upon hire.
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) is preferred.
