The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health of Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center (MSHMC) and Penn State College or Medicine (PSCOM) is seeking an outstanding clinician-academician-educator to serve as Chief, Division of Autism Services. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic academic leader to directly shape the long-term vision and growth of a Division.

As the leader in the delivery of cutting-edge Autism care, the Chief must be strategically and operationally focused to guide the Division to the next level through the advancement and integration of clinical programs, education and research while continuing to meet and exceed national standards of excellence. We seek a Chief who understands and fosters an academic environment. The Division Chief will be responsible for the growth and advancement of research, scholarly activity and teaching excellence of the Division.

  • Ability to partner with a breadth of stakeholders to develop, inspire, communicate and operationalize a shared vision and strategic plan
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead large scale clinical and academic efforts

Minimum Requirements:
  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree, Fellowship trained, BC/BE in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry; or PhD or PsyD from an APA approved clinical psychology program, including a pre-doctoral internship from an APA approved site
  • Eligibility for rank of Associate Professor or higher, including candidates under review for Associate Professor and would apply for the same for this position
  • All candidates must be license-eligible (Medical or Psychological) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
