Job Duties
Virginia's Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is looking for service-oriented professionals to work as Customer Service Generalists at the Hampton Customer Service Center. If you possess strong customer service and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn, and want a career with growth opportunities, we would like to talk with you.
The selected applicants will handle various customer transactions to include communicating policies, procedures, and regulations; issuing IDs; processing applications; administering vision, driver, and in-car road tests. In addition, processing vehicle registrations and titling, tax collection, and other DMV related services.
Training will be provided to ensure your success. In addition, we offer a competitive salary, excellent health and retirement benefits, twelve paid holidays per year, paid annual, sick, and family/personal leave, and deferred compensation.
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, serves approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 8.4 million registered vehicles. Minimum Qualifications
Job Requirements:
-Customer service experience working in a fast paced environment.
-Experience using a personal computer or other automated systems.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Experience working in a team or group environment.
-Strong organizational, time management, problem solving and multitasking skills.
-Must have attention to detail, accuracy, and complete assignments on time.
-Flexibility to work M-F and Saturday.
-Can lift 10 - 25 pounds.
