Document Management Solution Architect

As a Document Management Solution Architect, you will work under the document management domain, supporting document management and related API modernization initiatives that support the business (Digital, Mid-Office, Back-Office) and are responsible for the architecture of the solutions (applications) in the domain.

You describe business processes and requirements and translate them into IT solutions. You guide development teams in creating solutions by providing architectural direction. You organize the solution design activities and with the solution design team you are responsible for documenting the architecture direction in a PSA and architecture repository.

Day to Day

  • Alignment with business stakeholders to understand business processes/requirements and translate these to IT solutions
  • Organize detailed solution design and solution vision activities and involve the right stakeholders
  • Design solutions based on the business requirements and assure these are within architectural boundaries
  • Capture the solution direction in the Solution Vision, and work with the Lead Architect for approval with EA
  • Arrange approval for architecture artifacts with business stakeholders, lead architect, architects of other domains and delivery teams
  • Provide support, give overview and guidance in the specific business domain regarding preconditions for successful adoption of changes / new technology by coaching and supporting business and IT to deploy solutions
  • Work closely with the Lead architect and co-create architecture roadmaps and an architecture plan in line with the business strategy
  • Execute the architecture roadmaps by maintaining and coordinating the architecture backlog of the business domain
  • Maintain the architecture repository
  • Provide architectural and technical guidance to Agile engineers
  • Monitor implementation of solutions to ensure they align with Solution Vision
  • Proactively come up with ideas to improve the IT landscape within the business domain.
  • Keep abreast with new or changing insights, architecture practices, technology and the relevant developments in the IT and financial services markets
  • Ensure health of systems, including security by design and planning for upgrades or patches

Essentials

  • 5 years of experience in designing and architecting IT solutions
  • 3 or more years of experience architecting and designing Document Management solutions, including integrations to on premise and cloud-based core systems.
  • 2 or more years of experience working in Azure (or AWS) cloud environment as a solutions architect
  • 2 or more years of experience working with architecting API solutions in a cloud environment
  • Experience in working in Agile/scrum environments in the IT sector and financial services
  • University Level Education
  • Practical experience with architecture frameworks
  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written
  • Customer Oriented
  • Leadership skills
  • Stakeholder Management Skills (networker)
  • Ability to coach Agile Engineers
  • Focus on Delivery
  • Able to convey IT subjects in business terminology
  • Experience with any of the Document Management Technologies: Docusign, Smartcomm, IBM Content Server

Applicable Pay Range

$120,174.43 - $180,261.65

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL's compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
