DSCI Assessment and Data Coordinator VISTA

The Department of Service and Civic Innovation was created to respond to Governor Wes Moore's call to make Maryland the State that Serves. DSCI supports expanding public service as a pathway into good quality jobs in public service across the state through Maryland Corps/Service Year Option and AmeriCorps programs. The Assessment and Data Coordinator will build capacity in our program through designing surveys to assess the training needs of service members and their host sites. The member will help build a data tracking system to manage the responses to their surveys. The member will gain skills in data management and analysis, survey design, information technology, and community engagement. The Assessment and Data Coordinator should be passionate about public service and excited to increase their skills with information technology and data management. Some prior experience with databases or data tracking is preferred The Assessment and Data Coordinator VISTA position comes with the benefits of VISTA service provided by AmeriCorps including a living allowance of $22,819.16 per year, health coverage options through the AmeriCorps agency, and an option at end of service of a Segal Education Award or a Cash Stipend. Member Duties : The Assessment and Data Coordinator VISTA will work with DSCI staff to design and implement several different surveys and instruments to measure skill gaps in Maryland Corps/Service Year option programs. The member will assist in building a data tracking system for DSCI including writing policies and manuals about the system and training staff on its implementation. The member will help build an outreach program to engage with alumni of Maryland Corps/Service Year Option and deploy surveys of alumni to gauge impact of their service term.
