Description:

First Steps is Missouri’s Early Intervention system, helping families with children from birth to three years old who have disabilities or developmental delays. We’re looking for a dedicated Lead Service Coordinator to join our team. Empower families and make a difference by mentoring and supervising Service Coordinators to ensure infants and toddlers receive essential early intervention services.

Salary:$20.15-$26.80 based on years of experience and starting September 1 will increase to $25.62 - $30.76 based on years of experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle intake and ongoing Service Coordination (SC) tasks.
  • Facilitate Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) processes for assigned cases.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise Service Coordinators.
  • Lead zone-level staff meetings and provide training after state meetings.
  • Monitor Service Coordinators’ activities and address complaints.
  • Implement work improvement and corrective action plans.
  • Assist with child find and provider recruitment activities.
  • Attend company and state leadership meetings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following, plus one year of experience working with families and young children: Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Child/Human Development, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Education Administration, Sociology, Family Science/Studies, Counseling OR other Bachelor’s degree with three years of experience working with families and young children.
  • Must have at least one year experience implementing sound business practices and in personnel supervision.
  • Meet provider enrollment qualifications for a Service Coordinator.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
