Description of Work
The East Union Operations Manager of the Nebraska East Union oversees the management of daily operations of the Nebraska East Union to include the areas of reservations, event management, maintenance operations, custodial services, marketing and recreation. Also assists with events in all Student Affairs facilities. Serves as the departmental representative and assists with planning and coordination of the Nebraska Union Advisory Board.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing or related field. Four years of experience working with facilities management. Must have two years progressive supervisory experience. Experience in fiscal management, human resource development, office/administrative management, risk management/safety and strategic planning. Communication skills, human resource development, leadership, intercultural proficiency, strategic planning, student learning and event technology competence are desired.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree: Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel Services, MBA , Construction Management or related degree within business or construction management. Facilities management experience in college/university setting. Prior experience with recreation facilities management. Knowledge of student learning theory is preferred.
