Volt is immediately hiring for a Furnace Operator in El Cajon Ca.

As a Furnace Operator you will:

• Operate all equipment and machinery, including loading the furnace, to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Monitor and adjust the furnace controller to achieve the desired result.
• Load and unload metal tubes and parts into the vacuum furnaces operating an overhead crane.
• Ensure parameters remain within SPECS requirements by monitoring all aspects of furnace operation.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of duties assigned.
• Read and follow traveler instructions, procedures, and drawings.
• Utilize measurement tools and equipment for the use of proper dimensional tolerance.
• May perform routine maintenance.
• May recommend effective and efficient process updates.
• Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
• Consistently exhibits punctuality, follows supervisor instructions, collaborates effectively with colleagues, adheres to work rules and procedures, complies with company policies and goals, and is open to constructive feedback.
• Other duties as assigned, requested or needed

This is a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity,.

The ideal candidate will have:.

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• 1 or more year of experience or equivalent of education and experience
• Ability to operate, control and watch gauges, dials or other indicators, computer workstation and related hardware/software.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to use and operate overhead crane for movement of parts.
• Ability understand and follow standard operating and safety procedures.
• Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to use basic mathematical equations.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 1st shift 5am - 1:30pm

Pay: $19 to $21.50 per hour
