Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
  • Maintains a high standard of medical ethics and Echo quality at all times within the department.
  • Self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.
  • Makes suggestions for improvement to the Medical Director.
  • Experience: Registered Cardiac Sonographer, 12 months of full-time clinical experience
  • Education: Graduate of a two year allied health education program that is patient care related, plus 12 months of full-time clinical experience; or a graduate of a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, United States Department of Education, or other recognized accreditation agency that specifically conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vascular technology.
  • Current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to pinpoint area of imaging
  • Knowledge in operating ultrasound equipment
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with patients and medical staff
  • Ability to adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly
