Schedule: Full-time

Shift : Night Shift - 7p-7a . Availability varies and will be confirmed at the time of the interview.
  • Days Shift times:
    • 7am to 7pm
    • 9am to 9pm
    • 11am to 11pm


  • Nights Shift times:
    • 1pm to 1am
    • 3pm to 3am
    • 7pm to 7am

The role you'll contribute: The Emergency Department Technician will be responsible for providing basic nursing care to the emergency patient utilizing judgment and skills based on knowledge acquired through didactic and clinical training. Performs clerical duties and surveillance of arrhythmia monitors.

The value you'll bring to the team:
  • Obtains vital signs, per unit standard, and reports findings to RN/physician.
  • Collects and labels lab specimens. Obtains 12 lead EKG's.
  • Transports patients as directed by the health care team.
  • Performs blood glucose monitoring and reports findings to RN/physician.
  • Removes staples/sutures, applies splints, inserts Foleys, or removes heplocks.
  • Monitors cardiac monitors assigned and recognizes and reports rhythms/arrhythmias.
  • Makes calls to attending physicians or other healthcare facilities at the direction of the physician or nurse.


Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
  • Minimum qualifications :
    • High school diploma or equivalent.


  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Prefer EMT certification or 2-3 years previous work experience in the patient care area of the ED.
