SUMMARY

This position is responsible for non-linear editing (NLE) of video, and Electronic Field Production (EFP) videography for HCCTV in a fast-paced technical environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Edits video for television productions, special projects, news or feature stories or promotional announcements. Supports team in striking and building sets for show production. (70%)

Shoots in-field for television productions, special projects, news and feature stories and promotional announcements; provides technical support and expertise for in-studio or in-field video shoots. (25%)

Other duties as assigned. (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.

EDUCATION
Minimum: high school diploma. Some college preferred.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years of work experience directly related to media, media production, or cable television production.

Minimum two (2) years of NLE editing experience and graphics creation

Minimum two (2) years of experience with Apple Final Cut Pro

Minimum two (2) years of EFP videography experience

Minimum two (2) years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders and with all members of the Communications Office

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment, paying attention to detail, and identifying short and long-term goals for the department

Ability to work early morning, night and weekend assignments as needed

Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to achieve specific goals. Ability to accomplish work in a timely fashion, to schedule events, programs, activities as assigned

Ability to update and use relevant knowledge; keep current technically and apply new knowledge to the job

Ability to lift and carry 25 - 50 lbs of video production related equipment
Ability to use audio-visual equipment, telephone, facsimile, copier, and general office equipment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with intermediate level proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Internet Explorer in particular
