Position Information:
The Perinatal Education Specialist is responsible for instructing the pregnant family about the perinatal period. This instruction is given primarily in Childbirth Education Classes. In addition the Perinatal Education Specialist conducts infant care classes and inpatient antepartum education on The Women's Pavilion and Birthplace unit and participates in other department related efforts and events.

Experience Requirements:
2 Years Education - Teaching and Facilitation of Learning Required - In Infant and Pediatric Development Preferred

Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - Or Bachelor's Degree Education Or Healthcare Or Nursing Or Social Work Preferred

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Maintain Vehicle Operator Insurability And Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Instructor Certification Required - And Child Passenger Safety Seat Certification And Childbirth Education Preferred
