The Glickman Lauder Center of Excellence in Autism and Developmental Disorders is a full-service integrated treatment, research, and training center designed to meet the needs of Maine families, generate new treatment models, and advance autism science for the benefit of all.

Looking for a hands-on, dynamic learning experience? Join our collaborative program between Maine Behavioral Healthcare and Southern Maine Community College (SMCC)! As an Education Technician Apprentice, you'll blend classroom learning with real-world clinical training. Work alongside a mentor, gain valuable experience, and support a multidisciplinary team to help students achieve their goals. You'll assist teachers in delivering services that support skill acquisition and behavior reduction, following Individual Treatment Plans, IEPs, and behavior support plans. Dive into this opportunity to grow and make a difference while ensuring compliance with all policies and laws.
Schedule
Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm,
One afternoon of class time until 6:30 pm

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) - "What you will need":
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be accepted and enrolled into the Southern Maine Community College Education Technician Apprenticeship Program. Throughout the Apprenticeship, all courses must pass with a grade of C or better in order to remain in the Apprenticeship.
