Position Information:
The Patient Access Educator/Quality Specialist is accountable to designated management staff throughout the hospital system to provide training for new employees refresher courses for existing staff and ongoing training to meet goals developed by both employees and Management. Develops computerized on-line modules for education. Monitors the volume and accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information at the time of registration. Incorporates a strong emphasis on customer service and quality in educational offerings. Serves as a resource to IT in the development of profiles to maximize the accuracy of claims submissions and analyze the data collected during the registration process. Collaborates with designated management staff to identify issues that interfere with the department's ability to meet the goals and develop solutions for same. Responsible for system-wide bi-weekly Registration Task Force and POS Collections Reporting.
Experience Requirements:
2 Years Patient Registration And Education - Teaching and Facilitation of Learning Or Leadership Or Or Equivalent Education and Experience
Education Required:
Associate's Degree Health Administration Required - Or Related Field Or Equivalent Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree Health Administration Preferred
