The EEG Tecnologist II works under minimal supervision performing electroencephalograms (EEG) to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of cerebral impairment. Calculates and analyzes standard and special procedure test results. Provides preliminary report for use by physicians.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) program, or an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.

Work Experience:

A minimum of two years of work experience as an EEG Technician or equivalent experience in a related field is required, if a CAAHEP approved program in EEG Technology was not completed.

Licensure:
  • Credential in electroencephalography (R. EEG T.) by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic & Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET).
  • BLS Certification
