Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic electroencephalograph (EEG) testing.
- Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electroencephalograph machine.
- Review patient's record and instructs patients prior to procedures.
- Monitor patient during procedures and report any abnormal findings.
- Identify and corrects for artifacts.
- Edit and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
- Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing &
Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'
degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
