Description
The Site EHS&S Manager will be responsible for the development of EHS solutions, talent, and capabil ities for
a specif ic site. Through direct or indirect reporting of site EHS&S Specialists within region, this role will be responsible
for the management of EHS risk and liability, including ensuring compliance with applicable EHS laws, regulations,
and corporate directives.
Qualifications
The Site EHS&S Manager will be responsible for the development of EHS solutions, talent, and capabil ities for
a specif ic site. Through direct or indirect reporting of site EHS&S Specialists within region, this role will be responsible
for the management of EHS risk and liability, including ensuring compliance with applicable EHS laws, regulations,
and corporate directives.
- Develop, implement, and monitor daily adherence to environmental health and safety policies, practices , and
procedures, alignment with B&W objectives, and report results to management - Provide technical assistance on corporate policies, practices, and procedures
- Facilitate group EHS leadership teams
- Advises division and site management on EHS matters
- Facilitate the implementation of EHS management systems
- Ensure appropriate facility reporting of incidents, per B&W policy and/or regulatory requirements
- Facilitate Serious Incident Review (SIR) process
- Facilitate/participate in Root-Cause Analysis of incidents as appropriate
- Ensure coordination and participation (as required) in the investigation of accidents and near misses
- Develop and conduct appropriate training on B&W EHS policies and procedures
- Provide training and coaching to local EHS professionals and operational leaders to ensure technical competence and leadership development within the divisions and sites
- Conduct EHS&S audits in accordance with B&W policy
- These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Affairs, or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
- 10+ years' of EHS-related experience within manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments
- Evidence of increasing role responsibility over previous 5 years
- Evidence of multiple site responsibility over previous 3 years
- Either or both of the following certifications is a plus: CSP, CHMM
- Willingness and ability to provide 24x7 on call support for emergencies
