Seeking an EHS Manager to join a Chemical Company near the Hamlet, NC area.

Your focus is to ensures the HSEQ Group Rules and Politic are implemented and respected. This is a multi-function job scope: Operational Safety, Hygiene and Health, Major Risks, Transport, Environment and Societal, Security. You will work in association with HSEQ Director and the HSE group division, Security and Operations.

ACTIVITIES:

As part of your missions, you are in charge of:

• Develop, coordinate, and maintain a HSE management system (One Maestro) and ensure its implementation, ensure the HSE valor are understood and adopted by all the affiliates.

• Define and communicate to everybody, the politic, the road map, the objectives and the HSE program ensuring that all the HSE documentation (directives, rules, specifications, procedures) are all known, understood, and applied.

• Ensure contact with the local authorities and ensure the regulatory watch concerning local HSE regulation; follow the HSE regulation evolution just as the rules.

• Conduct the understanding and the implementation of HSE Group procedures and guides by adapting among other the local procedures. Ensure the efficient application of HSE Group procedures and guides.

• Advise the direction concerning the analysis and the risks management implementation; prepare, lead or participate to HSE studies and risks evaluations for several activities, installations and works.

• Follow the HSE action plans from audits, visits and inspections realized by Group or affiliate personal and insure they are well implemented.

• Implement and monitor the environmental management plan, management of waste included.

• Ensure that the dedicated and mandatory HSE training program are implemented for the personal with specific HSE responsibility; recommend and organize actions and training programs for employees, as well as define the necessary competencies for leading operations; coordinate the HSE training between operational entities and the human resource training department.

• Set up and maintain standards for audit, define a methodology and lead auto-evaluation.

• Define and monitoring key performance indicators; ensure the HSE performance follow-up and the benchmarking necessary.

Work supervision:

• Manage the HSE aspects in the contractors processes and tenders; monitoring the contractors activities in order to ensure their compliance to HSE Group requirements.

• Inspect periodically the high risks contractors' compliance by doing ICC.

• Assist the contractors on ICC scope in the realization of their actions plan. Evaluate them periodically on the field during the works and communicate with purchase department.

Transport management:

• Ensure the application of PATROM requirements and light vehicles requirements with Transportation Responsible.

• Participate to the HSE level continual improvement for the affiliate transporters, by doing ICT, OBC monitoring, on-board cameras.

• Integrity management:

• Ensure with the help of integrity manager of all the requirements of technical integrity; participate to the downgraded mode implementation and ensure their application on the field.

Reporting and crisis management :

• Ensure the coherence and consolidate internal and external HSE reporting; manage the incident reporting process: verify that all incident or anomaly are immediately reported and analyzed; participate or supervise reporting and incidents, accidents and HIPO analysis.

• Implement a crisis management system in straight relation with the stakeholders; give recommendations for procedures and emergency plan; contribute to the definition and purchase of all the specific HSE material and equipment for prevention and intervention; organize the preparation to emergency situation by doing training and exercises.

HSE culture:

• Organize and coordinate HSE awareness campaign.

• Support and advise all the teams in terms of HSE topic; implement the HSE specifications, especially for operational entities.

• Contribute to the promotion of a positive reflection and to the entity performance improvement by combining HSE topics and Socioeconomic, in a geographical context, cultural, contractual and environmental.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree Physical Sciences/Engineering,

• 5-10 years Quality System Management,

• Great computer skills (Microsoft, Excel),

• Communication skills and adult training skills required,

• Knowledge on statistics, statistical process control theory and quality measurement systems required,

• Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ) and Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Manager (ASQ) certification required or making progress toward obtaining.
