POSITION PURPOSE:

This full-time position will develop, implement, maintain, train, and provide expertise associated with environmental, health and occupational safety matters. Work with internal and external stakeholders to provide a safe environment and to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations. Manage ISO14001 EMS certification in Watertown and coordinate globally to ensure consistent policies and procedures, including safe and environmentally sustainable facilities and processes throughout the company. Plan and administer the workers' compensation program for US based employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of ISO14001, OSHA, Workers' Compensation and all other applicable US,state, federal or local safety and health regulations.
  • BS Degree in related field is preferred
  • 2-3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficent in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects.
  • Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a change oriented environment.
  • Develop new procedures, guidelines for EHS programs and implement changes as necessary.
  • Schedule all EHS and compliance training activities for the facility; Conduct training as required.
  • Maintain all EHS and compliance records.
  • Lead the EHS committees and coordinate the activities of the committee members.
  • Lead the investigation of incidents to determine cause and preventative measures; Prepare necessary reports and documentation.
  • Responsible for Environmental Management System and Safety Management System.
  • Inspect work areas and machinery for compliance with OSHA and all compliance regulations.
  • Conduct EHS Internal Audits.
  • Conducts Safety, Environmental and Regulatory audits of the facility in order to evaluate compliance, identify areas for improvement and communicates them directly to the department managers and the Plant Manager
  • Drive continuous improvement in the safety culture while working towards exceeding safety goals.
