The EHS Technician II is a member of the EHS team and reports to the EHS Leader. This entry level role responsible for assisting with data collection and analytics of the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, policies, and procedures. The role will work closely with the EHS team to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, Daikin requirements, and to promote a culture of safety throughout the site.

The EHS Technician II is a member of the EHS team and reports to the EHS Leader. This entry level role responsible for assisting with data collection and analytics of the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, policies, and procedures. The role will work closely with the EHS team to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, Daikin requirements, and to promote a culture of safety throughout the site.
Location: Plymouth, MN, On-site
Job Duties:
- Proven proficient in an EHS software
- Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify and help address hazards and risks
- Provides site specific data to assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
- Maintaining accurate records of safety incidents, injuries, and illnesses
- Assist the EHS team in the preparation of EHS reports and presentations
- Participate in EHS committees and teams to drive continuous improvement
- Maintain safety-related documentation, such as safety data sheets and new equipment checklist
- Assist in analyzing EHS data, trends, and metrics to identify areas of improvement and help with implementation of corrective actions
- Assist in incident investigations and help develop and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
- Collaborating with supervisors to reduce accidents, injuries, and overall risk
- Support the implementation of the company's emergency response plans
- Promote Daikin’s goal of zero (accidents, emissions, etc...)
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school or GED
- 2+ Years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety or Manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety or Manufacturing
