Your day-to-day tasks will include leading the development and engineering of custom food production equipment to customer specifications.

Our client is a growing and privately held Chicago area custom food production equipment manufacturer. They're known as a leader in their industry and are looking for an experienced electrical engineer who is ready to grow with them and take on new and challenging custom food production equipment and packaging lines.

Position Overview
  • Develop electrical systems and controls for custom food production equipment and robotic packaging systems
  • Create electrical equipment designs for machine controls using servo motor and PLC platforms
  • Prepare detail design reviews and documentation for projects
  • Design, develop and program PLC, HMI and MMI programs from scratch
  • Lead debug and final check out teams for electrical systems
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering required
  • More than 2 years electrical design engineering experience in industrial machinery or automation system manufacturing industries
  • Proficiency programming PLCs from scratch
  • Proficiency and knowledge of servo motors
  • Ability to work with customers
  • Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as needed approximately 15%-20% of the time
