Apex Systems is looking to hire anElectrical Engineer for our client in Hagerstown, MD. This assignment is anticipated to be a 12-month contract.This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and document electronics and/or electrical components.
• Document EE component development with some associated activities such as simulations.
• Put requirements on the components towards the supplier.
• Interact with the supplier and manage the work distribution.
• Have the operational responsibility in the relationship with the supplier.
• Responsible for recommending the supplier.
• Evaluate new components and select the internal component.
• Secure cross-functional and business anchoring.
• Manage complex components and/or large set of less complex components.
• Responsibility extended to deliver & execute a Product Strategy Roadmap of the area for few complex components and/or large set of less complex components
• Leading on complex group tasks/projects and actively developing team members -
• Role model of cutting edge thinking and an established contributor to lifelong learning within the TD/BA as a master trainer, coach and/or mentor
• Solid T shaped profile with definable expert knowledge within broad-based all-around toolkit
• Demonstrable influencer within the network
• Clear articulation of how he/she is creating value to the respective TD/BA beyond their part of the organization.
• Design & support Wiring solutions (3D & 2D) and Schematics layouts for project and lab needs.
• Support component and software testing done in test cells and hardware in loop rigs.
• Provide concept development to industrialization of parts and components and packaging studies.
• Provide assembly layout and schematic drawings.
• Help in release process activities.
• Working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

Experience:

• 8+ years of relevant experience from the automotive or similar heavy manufacturing industry
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is an advantage
