Electrical Engineer, Amazon Robotics
North Reading, Massachusetts
Amazon is seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to work on system design, implementation and release to manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system design, analog and digital circuit design, possess good communication skills, and have the ability to lead a team of Electrical Engineers. This candidate must have the ability to work well both independently and in team settings. This position reports directly to the Electrical Engineering Manager.
Key job responsibilities
• \tWorking with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including design, prototyping, validation, testing and certification
• \tLeading and supporting a technical team on multiple projects in parallel
• \tCoordinate all activities within the engineering discipline for the project.
• \tEnsure coordination with other disciplines is effective for each project.
• \tThorough understanding of technical principles and concepts in Electrical Engineering
• \tWriting and developing functional specifications, design verification plans and test procedures
• \tArchitecting, designing and implementing complex embedded system, analog and digital circuit design and systems debugging
• \tSupporting product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments
• \tExecute tasks to aggressive schedules
• \tEstablish development processes to meet industry standards for functionally safe control systems (IEC 61508).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with prototyping and implementation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools
- Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
