Insight Global is seeking an Electrical/Power Systems Engineer to join a federal client of ours in the Aiken, SC area. The individual will need a Q or L clearance (Or TS or S and willing to transfer) or have held a Q or L in the last 2 months. This individual will work in a nuclear facility and be designing within the nuclear industry. This person must be an expert in electrical code (NFPA, 70E, NEC etc). This role involves experience with high voltage systems, high voltage power circuit board, distribution cables, switchgear and overall system coordination. This position requires 40 hour work weeks in a format of 4/10s.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and 10 years of experience
OR
Masters in Electrical Engineering and 8 years
Active Q or L clearance (Or TS or S and willing to transition)
10 years experience with design in nuclear or chemical industry
Expert in NFPA 70 and 70E
Experience with modeling and simulation for power systems and short circuit analysis using simulation software platforms (Ex. ETAP)
Experience designing High Voltage Power Circuit Board layouts
