Electrical Engineer

An employer in the Salt Lake City area is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their Electrical and Instrumentation Team. This team is responsible for the design and engineer of projects for various customers across industries such as refining, mining, chemical, rail offloading, etc. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for completion of calculations, engineering specifications and designs of electrical and instrumentation designs. On a daily basis they will be responsible for the creation and revision of various drawings, performing detailed phases of design engineering assignments, and planning and conducting tasks for various projects. This person will also be expected to attend project coordination meetings, maintain drawing, equipment, and instrument lists, and assist project team by completing drawing in accordance with requirements. This person will be communicating with customers and should have strong communication and presentation skills. Additionally, this individual will be required to function on a multi discipline team as the lead I&E engineer by providing guidance and direction to other designers.

This role is paying between $65 and 75 hourly and will go permanent around $135,000 annually

Required Skills & Experience

5-10 years experience in Electrical Engineering

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering

Background in Heavy Industrial such as refining, mining, petrochemical, manufacturing

Advanced experience with engineering related software as well as proficiency in word, excel, etc.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Professional Engineering (P.E.) License

PLCS or DCS Wiring and system design experience

Familiarity with computer analysis software for Electrical Engineering
