Volt is immediately hiring an Electrical Designer in Hillsboro, OR.

As an Electrical Designer you will:

• Create electrical drawings to meet design and client needs.
• Perform all appropriate calculations (e.g. distribution panel loading, short circuit, voltage drop, conduit & conductor size, and cable tray fill) required for the electrical design packages.
• Provide quality reviews of models and documents prepared by others to assure design and project standards are met.
• Coordinate with document control personnel for review and transmission of design packages.

This is a full time contingent to hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

•Autodesk AutoCAD 2D Proficient

•Autodesk 3D, Revit and/or Inventor is a plus!

Abilities-Skills-Knowledge Requirements:

•Proficiency in understanding NFPA 70 and 79

•Proficiency in understanding NEC Class 1, 2 and 3 wiring definitions

•Proficiency required in performing calculations for the following: Distribution Panel Loading, Short Circuit, Voltage Drop, Conduit & Conductor Size, Cable Tray Fill

•Knowledge in the design of Power Circuits and I&C Systems

•Knowledge in Electrical Schematic layouts and Electrical design definitions

•Knowledge in Electrical conduit/cable tray routing layouts including design definitions

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $39.00 per hour
