Insight Global is looking for an Electrical Field Support Engineer to join a large food and beverage company. This candidate will be sitting on site in the lab in Valhalla, NY. The engineer will be joining the R&D team responsible for Coolers and Fountain Machines. This team consists of 5 others but this Electrical Field Support Engineer will be working independently on projects in the lab and helping to coordinate and manage suppliers. This candidate will be responsible for testing equipment, troubleshooting equipment, working with the vendors for the coolers and fountain machines and communicating with them on a daily basis as well as communicating with the technology manufacturers with questions or issues with their products. This role will also do some research of new ideas that they can come up with for the machines/ coolers. 30% of their time will be collaborating with team members and suppliers as well as coordinating the meetings and the remaining 70% will be spend doing hands on engineering, documentation, and testing of equipment and field support to set up equipment to do demos for potential buyers or going to the site that a piece of equipment needs to be fixed. The ideal candidate will be very driven and independent and will have strong recent experience testing technology for IoT as well as a strong background or knowledge in electrical engineering.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience as an Electrical Engineer focusing on sensors that go into hardware (ex. Devices like fridge, microwave, washer, dryer, fountain machines, coolers, etc) OR as a mechanical engineer
- Recent experience doing field support and demos for equipment/ fixing them if needed
- Bachelor's in electrical engineering or mechanical
- Experience working with suppliers
- Strong communication skills
