Electrical / Maintenance Technician

Rate: $36.06 Hour

Career Opportunity:

As an Electrical/Maintenance Technician the primary duties include providing safe and timely electrical and mechanical support. Including but not limited to preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution for multiple operating machines within a corrugated manufacturing environment.

How you will impact WestRock:

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain mechanical equipment including but not limited to: VFDs, Servo Motors, pumps, pump & motor alignment, hydraulic, pneumatic, and all other electrical/mechanical systems.
• Completes preventative maintenance of scheduled machinery
• Provide resolution to mechanical and electrical problems of machinery.
• Performs Lockout/Tagout per procedure for various operations and maintenance personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ability to work weekends and other OT as required.

What you need to succeed:

• This is a multi-craft position and as such candidate must have general industrial maintenance experience with an emphasis on electrical components.
• Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls, and power transmission systems.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
• Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Able to read schematics and ladder logic
• Electrical knowledge
• Welding proficiency is a plus
• Knowledge of OSHA Safety Standards and Regulations
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Must provide own tools and toolbox
• Prior Corrugator / Converting equipment experience strongly desired
• Able to react and troubleshoot quickly in a very fast paced environment
