Georgia-Pacific's Medium Density Fiberboard plant in Mt Jewett, PA has an incredible opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Technician . This role is eligible for a $1,500 staggered Retention Bonus . Electrical Maintenance Technicians are also eligible for quarterly variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
Our Electrical Maintenance Technicians are responsible for installing and troubleshooting electrical equipment within the mill to support the long-term quality and production goals of the organization. This position also performs preventative maintenance to ensure electrical equipment reliability.
Electrical Maintenance Technicians work 12-hour rotating shifts. Individuals in this position are also required to work on holidays, weekends, and any necessary overtime.
Shift Hours: 6:00AM - 6:00PM EST and 6:00PM - 6:00AM

What You Will Do
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and circuits
- Maintain, program, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Maintain and troubleshoot circuits and components on pneumatic systems, control devices, and hydraulic equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to troubleshoot and install equipment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical equipment
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Completion of an approved technical degree in electrical, electronics, or another related field
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience programming and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Experience installing, examining, replacing, or repairing Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and motor controllers
- Experience using computer for record-keeping and documentation functions
