Title: Electrical & Mechanical/Reliability Maintenance Engineer
Location: Monroe, NC - just outside of Charlotte!
Shift: Mon-Fri, 1st shift
Compensation: $115-$135k+ depending on qualifications and experience! + quarterly company performance bonus could put your w2 at $160k!

Position Description:
Electrical: In this role, you will be focused on electrical systems, equipment maintenance, reliability, and electrical safety. You will support operations by driving continuous improvement of electrical power systems, electrical controls, motors, drives, and other related components including quality. You will support the Maintenance organization, continuous improvement efforts, training, daily operations, and electrical safety.
• Lead and/or support site efforts to reduce equipment failures, operating costs, and production losses.
• Develop standard operating procedures to improve quality or reduce or eliminate quality problems.
• Troubleshoot problems and analyze and resolve issues accurately and efficiently. May inspect, certify, and evaluate on-site operational systems and design modifications.
• Monitor plant electrical maintenance work to ensure that it conforms to safety and code requirements.
• Coordinate project work with department operations. Estimate project electrical and instrument costs, manpower needs, and schedules.
• Provide and direct technical expertise and assistance to engineers, technicians, hourly craft personnel, etc.
• Determine test criteria and perform and/or support the performance of testing involving the electrical integration of equipment and processes.
• Develop or modify computerized procedures for testing of electronic assemblies and systems.
• Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations analyzing customer technical requirements and recommend solutions and process improvements.
• Prepare specifications, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with selected contractors and vendors.
• Responsible for electrical and instrumentation aspects of capital and expense projects.
• May design, test, install, and maintain electronic equipment, components, and machinery in operations areas.
• Consult with management of problems and process improvement objectives.

Mechanical/Reliability: The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for leading a diverse, represented hourly workforce in day-to-day operational activities, maintenance of equipment, and troubleshooting efforts, as well as, interacting with all levels of the organization on a wide range of business issues. This position reports to the Superintendent, of Maintenance.
• Maintenance Strategies:
• Analyzes equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy engineering solutions, improved maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance optimization, and other reliability techniques.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
• Utilizes predictive, preventative, and precision maintenance technologies and strategies designed to identify or control risks prior to failure and ensure optimum maintenance execution.
• Collaboration:
• Provides technical service to operations and manufacturing personnel on equipment-related troubleshooting efforts.
• Total Cost:
• Maximize equipment reliability while considering economic factors.
• Evaluate the impact of projects (reconfigurations, design changes) on meeting customer needs.

• Electrical: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Mechanical: Relevant degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical)preferred.
• Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Strong technical understanding of electrical or mechanical components, tools, and designs
• Effective oral and written communication skills with internal employees and external customers at all levels.
• Strong ability to analyze and resolve problems to the root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Ability to lead, train, and be a team player following all company policies, union contracts, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently with high motivation and organizational capabilities.
• Possess excellent mathematical reasoning abilities to comprehend and apply engineering principles.

Electrical Preferred Skills:
• Electrical engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial industry.
• Experience with PM & PdM technologies.
• Experience with motor control centers, PLCs, static drives, electro/mechanical devices, and power distribution.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment and working from a maintenance perspective with heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience with hands-on troubleshooting, critical decision-making, and working with union employees.
