A client of Insight Global's is actively searching for an Electrical Programmer to join their facility out of Dalton, GA. The majority of the day-to-day will be designing, programming, and developing PLC control systems as well as testing and commissioning these control systems based on a system sequence operations and process flow diagram. This individual will go through various testing phases of determining what field devices should look like, what they need to be, how many, etc., to come up with the controls design. The day-to-day will vary depending on their backlog, current projects, and troubleshooting of existing equipment/machinery. This person will be creating PLC code from scratch for new projects and manipulating/adjusting existing code during scheduled maintence periods.

Required Skills & Experience
- 1-3+ years programming PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley & Siemens
- Experience writing and manipulating code (Ladder Logic, Factory Talk View, WonderWare, Structured Text, FBD, etc.)
- Experience reading and interrupting electrical schematics or wiring diagrams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Technical certification or Engineering degree (Associates or Bachelors)
- Experience programming VFDs or other motor controls/electric motors
