DCS Corporation is looking for a talented electrical technician to join their Durability Test Lab Team to help work on military vehicle testing and physical characterization. This opportunity will provide a qualified candidate with the chance to work in the US Army's vehicle test lab by supporting the day-to-day operation, setup, execution, and maintenance of test rigs and equipment for Army ground vehicles including MRAPs, Strykers, and JLTVs.

Essential Job Functions:

Setup and monitor vibration tests according to Lab Engineer requirements and submit progress reports

Maintain, route, and repair hydraulic hoses and systems

Troubleshoot electrical issues with prototype components and systems

Fabricate MIL Spec cable harnesses in accordance with the IPC/WHMA-A-620 and DCS build process documentation

Prepare test items by installing electrical cabling, sensors, and other instrumentation into ground vehicles and simulators

Develop fixtures and test apparatus to meet testing requirements

Conduct all test setups for assigned capability area and plan, track, and execute scheduled maintenance

Perform maintenance checks on military ground vehicles. Modify/repair base vehicle platforms as needed.

Plan, track, and execute scheduled equipment calibration verifications

Plan, track, and execute an inventory management plan for assigned capability area

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required

A Secret clearance is required

High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of technician experience

Knowledge and ability to design, develop, fabricate, setup, maintain and modify laboratory apparatus, and layout of test fixtures

Knowledge of measurement techniques, instruments, transducer theory, and applications for improving existing methods

Experienced operating and maintaining heavy duty equipment, such as military ground vehicles or construction equipment

Experienced with a variety of shop machines and lift/hoist operations

Desired Skills:

Experience working in a test lab environment

Experience using data acquisition software

Knowledge in hydraulic systems and electro dynamic test equipment
