Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler for a contract opportunity in Hillsboro, OR.

SUMMARY:
Electro-Mechanical Assembler II performs assembly, wiring, alignments, and final configuration of components in an assembly. The Electro-Mechanical Assembler collaborates with colleagues towards common production goals via detailed manufacturing procedures. This position also participates in continuous process improvement activities and maintains the highest standards for workplace safety and quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Conduct assembly work applying prescribed methods using a variety of hand tools, fixtures, and test equipment.
o Collect test data, use databases and other office programs to detail the manufacturing process
o Participate in resolving production challenges and making process decisions
o Assist in the selection and/or set-up of specialized equipment
o Perform a wide variety of troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
o Perform equipment set-up, calibration, and preventative maintenance
o Follow audit and safety guidelines
o Train current and new employees

REQUIREMENTS:
o One year of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred
o Background in precision mechanical assembly and low-volume, sophisticated manufacturing processes preferred
o Experience in lean manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement a plus
o Previous assembly experience in a Clean Room environment is a plus
o Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)
o Proven track record in optimally working in a Team of 8-10 colleagues
o Ability to work in a cleanroom environment using appropriate PPE
o Ability to analyze and tackle problems independently as well as collaboratively
o Ability to support projects, perform training, and work efficiently as part of cohesive teams
o Self-motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills
o Ability to lift up to 35lbs
o Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in partnering with colleagues of differing cultural, language, and educational backgrounds

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM M-F, OT possible.
